Reviews of The Peacock Country Inn

William
The room was cozy and well-equipped with a small bathroom, storage area, and a TV, while the location was charming and conveniently close to the train station.

I would be greeted as if they had been looking forward to my coming all day. Since not all rooms were occupied, extra care was taken to ensure that one room remained free between the occupied ones. . Good food. Comfortably furnished. Since I was alone, I was given magazines while waiting for dinner. . The location is remote and therefore quiet.

Would like to stay there on the next trip if I go to Chinnor, liked my really comfortable stay. Overall the place is fairly clean and homely, it met every demand. I have to mention the sensational breakfast with free wifi.

Lovely quiet location overlooking fields and few scattered houses. Very friendly and helpful staff. Attractive bar/restaurant with varied menu-basic bar meals and more adventurous-reasonably priced. Large room with spacious bathroom.
Since this was a double room with plenty of space it would have been nice to have two chairs rather than just one.

The owner of the hotel was friendly, funny and helpful. He even carried our bags to our room. Fan in the room was a most welcolmed feature. Bath was a good size. Lovely views from our bedroom window.
Beds could of been bigger.Hotel to far out and in the middle of nowhere.Reception area was often left unmanned.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, very friendly. The room we stayed in was gorgeous, looked newly decorated and had a superb view of the countryside. The price of the room included a full english breakfast and the hotel also had a pub with an excellent dinnermenu. The hotel is very well located for a visit to Oxford or walks in the countryside.

This hotel is in a country village which means it is very quiet. I had some initial problems with the WiFi connection but the staff were a great help and finally got it working for me. There is a good resaurant in the hotel serving excellent food. My room was a little on the small size but not as small as some others I have stayed in during my journey around the UK.
My room was a bit on the small side but adequate for a solo traveller, I would not let this stop me from staying there again.

I went up to Buckingshire that weekend to spend Sunday at the Hearing Dogs summer fair at Saunderton. Whilst there also visited Princes Risborough.
Was very impressed with the food at the Peacock, dinner each evening was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and his staff to do for you. Magnificent spot if you are a walker.
